On May the 15th 1963 Major Gordon Cooper was send into orbit. The journey was 22 rounds of the earth . On the last round he Cooper reported to the radarstation in Muchea (Australia) that he could see a glowing, greenish object ahead of him quickly approaching his capsule. The UFO was solid and gave beeps on the radarequipment on earth. Cooper was the first one to tell about his meetings with UFOs in space, a meeting that totally changed his life forever. As he landed NBC had alreday broadcasted the suprising observation, but no one was allowed to ask him any questions about UFOs.
But even before his pioneer space-travel Major Cooper was convinced of the reality of UFOs. Ten years earlier, 1951, he sighted a UFO as he was flying a F-86 Sabrajet over west-German airspace. The UFO was metalic and disc-shaped and was flying at a much higher level and was able to outrun the american fighter-jets in every way. Major Cooper also stood up in UN:
-I believe that these extra-terrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets...
Major Gordon Cooper continues in an interview by J. L. Ferrando:
- For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists in astronautics. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us. And there are thousands of witness reports and a quantity of documents to prove this, but nobody wants to make them public. Why? Because authority is afraid that people may think of God knows what kind of horrible invaders. So the password still is: We have to avoid panic by all means.
Most astronauts were reluctant to discuss UFOs.
The commotion was big when famous Apollo-astronaut Edward ôEdô Mitchell on April 19th 1996 on the American televison show NBC Dateline revealed that the US governmet has covered up the reality of extraterristrial visitors all along.
He's the son of a farmer from New Mexico but left the ranch to be a testpilot in the navy. He then went to graduate with a Ph.d in MIT and finally ended up at NASA as one of theirs absolute top men ever. As the first group of astronauts took the name "the original seven", Mitchell and his group took the nickname "the original 19".
Mitchell was one of the planned crew-members of the difficult Apollo 13-mission, but his employer thought he needed more training and in the last minute he was withdrawn from the mission - fortunately... He got his chans a year later, in 1971, when Apollo 14 shot out from the Tellus atmosphere with its aim at the Moon. After a perfect landing Mitchell and Alan Bean stayed on the Moon for 33╜ hours at the spot called "the Sea of Tomorrow". But on the Moon, while the others were sleeping, Mitchell conducted his own spectacular experiments.
He tried to contact a couple of people on earth mentaly by concentrate and thinking of numbers and figures, an experiment his boss, Murphy, didn't see kindly at:
- Yeah, he was kind of tickled about that, but I did it, Mitchell says to NBC Dateline.
Murphy says that the journey drove Mitchell to confront his two personal sides - the test pilot and the spriritual pilgrim.
As Mitchell returned to earth (!) his mother was struck by an eye-illness and once again Mitchell turned to the higher grounds for guidance. This time in the shape of a Tibetan shaman.
- Well, I got them together and he did his things which is primarily passing his hands over her head. And at 6:00 the next morning mother came rushing into my room, her Bible in one hand, her glasses in the other and said "son, I can see. I can see. After that I invited him to stay with us so I could find out how he did it.
Once again, a couple of years after the Moon-mission, Mitchell even chocked his collegues at NASA by aligning himself with the controversal spoon-bender Uri Geller. Truly a pilgrim alright.
Ed Mitchell lived in Roswell in July 1947 at the time when the legendary UFO-crash is supposed to have happened. He says that he remembers it vague. He still remembers the frontpages of the papers and all the commotion which soon faded and no one thought about it anymore. Robert Goddard also lkived in Roswell at the time. OMitchell is convinced that the incident really accured and he says that he has inside-information from friends in high places and agencys that says that Belgium, Sovjet and America has had direct contact and exchange with extraterristrial beings since the 60's. In an interview with the UFOLogist Linda Howe, Mitchell says:
- What I said was that these people claimed to have been in meetings or places, where contact between ET.s and our people took place. And, there are some that claim that they are backengineering to learn how to build, to learn the technology side of E.T craft. There are new ones coming forth that have been reluctant to speak out, that are getting quite elederly now, and want to try to clear the record before they die. All I can say is that I was impressed by what little I gleaned in these meetings, the purpose of the meetings was to open the doors to get classification released. To get these people granted amnesty from their security provisions. It was not to get the information out to the public, because these folks will tell their stories under the right circumstances.
In the NBC-interview he says:
- I have no first hand experiance, but I have had the opportunity to meet with people from three countries who in the course of their official duties claim to have had personal firsthand encounter experiances.
-From what I now understand and have experianced and seen the evidence for, I think the evidence is very strong, and large portions of it are classified..
Mitchell firmly belives that there's a cover up existing.
Mitchell also say that the thsi secret information will be released before year 2000. And the reason why its still on hold is, as he says to Linda Howe: "- This is like the last fight of the dinosaurs, to keep the jungle as it was."
Mitchell continues:
- And there are events that are moving us forward...that things arechanging around us regardless of any old paradigms, they are apparently being swept away. And what's in front of us is a new comsmology, a complete re-definition of the universe, of space-time, of our relationship to it, and our ability apparently to move in a universe in ways that we have yet to learn.

According to the ex.-NASA employee Otto Binder Armstrong och Edwin ôBuzzô Aldrin did see a UFO right after the historic landing on the Moon with Apollo 11, 21st of July 1969. Here on earth we could hear one of the astronauts talk about a ôlightô in one of the craters followed by the groundcontrol on earth asking for a verification of the statement, and then everything went blank...
According to the same man radioamateurs on earth did pick up a broadcast that was censured to the public on their VHF-radios where they picked up this conversation:
NASA: What did you say? Mission Control to Apollo 11...
Apollo11: These "Babies" are huge, Sir! Enormous! OH MY GOD! You wouldn't believe it! I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there, Lined up on the far side of the crater edge! They're on the Moon watching us!
During a discussion at a NASA-meeting between a professor (who wants to remain anonymous) and Armstrong these words were exchanged:
Professor: What REALLY happened out there with Apollo 11?
Armstrong: It was incredible, of course we had always known there was a possibility, the fact is, we were warned off!(by the Aliens). There was never any question then of a space station or a moon city.
Professor: How do you mean "warned off"?
Armstrong: I can't go into details, except to say that their ships were far superior to ours both in size and technology - Boy, were they big!...and menacing! No, there is no question of a space station.
Professor: But NASA had other missions after Apollo 11?
Armstrong: Naturally - NASA was committed at that time, and couldn't risk panic on Earth. But it really was a quick scoop and back again.
According to Doctor Vladimir Azhazha: "Neil Armstrong relayed the message to Mission Control that two large, mysterious objects were watching them after having landed near the moon module. But this message was never heard by the public -- because NASA censored it."
According to a Dr. Aleksandr Kasantsev, Buzz Aldrin took color movie film of the UFOs from inside the module, and continued filming them after he and Armstrong went outside. Armstrong confirmed that the story was true but refused to go into further detail, beyond admitting that the CIA was behind the cover-up.
